Happy Friday Everyone! This Friday officially kicks off summer break for most people at RBHS! Enjoy the post! This quarter was the best of this entire school year, and the worst. So, first of all, assignments became a lot harder as we had to prepare for the EOCs. Not to mention how the EOC's were unfair and made me want to kill myself, but you can read about that here. The entire quarter made my life a living hell because of all the work they assigned. You think they could've given us a break, but no. They decided to overload us with work. Spanish was one of the worst classes I had. The work was difficult and boring. It doesn't even help you learn Spanish that well. The teacher was pretty nice though, if that counts for anything. The quarter was one of the best because it's the last of the year. The last quarter is always the best because you have 3 months of summer break. But I'm to that age where I should probably get a job, and that could be just as bad as school depending on how you look at it. Overall, after the EOC's, school was pretty chill, and it wasn't too bad. The only thing I'll miss is hanging out with friends, but I do that outside of school anyways. This quarter was pretty decent, it gets a: Thanks for reading the last post of the school year! Just a reminder, I won't be posting anything over the summer. This year was one of the best for RBHS Blog, so check back next August. I'll add a counter on the main page until the next post comes out. Bye!

Thanks for checking out this week's post! It's been about 20 days since the last post so it's about time to make a new one. Enjoy!
The last post I made talked about EOC's and why they suck (read here), and now, I'm completely done with EOC's. I had to take both the English and the Geometry one, and I'm going to be completely honest. I probably failed both of them. I definitely failed the geometry one today. I guessed on every question. WHY WOULD THEY EXPECT US TO REMEMBER MATH WE LEARNED 4 MONTHS AGO?? All the tests do is make our lives more miserable. I'm just glad that they're over and I can look forward to summer now. So, why has the blog been so dry recently? I went more than 2 weeks without a post. It's because nothing is happening right now. At least, nothing I want to talk about. So, I've been waiting. School is just boring right now. Well, it's always boring, but there's just not anything going on. So, there may be less posts on the blog in the next few weeks. Thanks for reading this short post! Next time might be about Spanish class, might not be. I keep saying I'll make that post but I never do. Bye! This post is late because I've been pretty busy lately. This week's post won the vote on my Instagram story. Anyways, enjoy the post!
EOC's are one of the worst tests you'll ever take in your life. WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS AN EOC EXAM? I think EOC stands for "End of Course Exam" but the only thing it examines is your fucking patience. You sit there for hours, doing the most boring test known to man. It's the definition of torture. Given the choice between death and taking the EOC, any sane human will choose death. Here's the worst part... IT'S WORTH 25% OF YOUR GRADE. That means that if you have a 75, you might not even pass the class. That brings me to the fact that the EOC's are like the benchmarks, but on steroids. The benchmarks test stuff that you don't remember and haven't learned yet, but the EOC amplifies this by 100. It tests you on stuff that you haven't studied in months, and they give you a whole lot more questions you never learned to begin with. WHY WOULD A TEST THAT MEASURES "KNOWLEDGE" HAVE QUESTIONS THAT NOBODY KNOWS THE ANSWER TO??? It doesn't make any sense. The EOC's are the most bullshit tests you'll ever take, besides the ACT. Eventually, I'll have to make a post about that. Thanks for reading this week's post! No post next week because of Spring Break! Enjoy the break! Bye! It's that time of year again! The quarter is now over, and we are heading into the final quarter of the year! Enjoy the post! So, this was one of the worst quarters I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. First of all, I had a lot shittier classes, such as Spanish, personal finance, and geometry. Those classes literally make me want to kill myself. They're that bad. Second of all, I got in trouble for the stupidest reasons this quarter, which clearly shows the abuse of admins power. This quarter wasn't all bad though. Team Sports PE was pretty fun, and the quarter was sort of chill, besides the insane amount of work the teachers gave us. We had so much unnecessary work this quarter. We got assigned so many pointless IXL's that I had to make a whole post about them. Also, personal finance is probably the most boring class I've taken in my life. Luckily, it's only a 1 quarter class, then I think we get transferred to PE. This quarter also saw the deletion of RBHS Shitposting, a good friend of the blog. Believe it or not, me and him are not the same person, although a lot of people believed that. His name got leaked, so he decided to just delete his entire blog and Instagram account (RIP). Anyways, the Teacher versus Student basketball game increased the rating of this quarter. The game was exciting, although it felt artificial, like it was rigged in some way. I feel the teams were unbalanced, but the teachers still did decently well. They could've held their own against the actual basketball team, but they weren't allowed to compete (for fairness reasons). This quarter was bad, it gets a: Before this post ends, I want to introduce the new RBHS Blog forum! You can basically post whatever you want, free of censorship from the school. I will also be posting polls for people to vote for upcoming blog posts! There will even be a list of unblocked websites! Check it out! Thanks for reading the 3rd Quarter Review this year! The final quarter is basically here! Enjoy your long weekend! Bye!
Recently, I got suspended for making memes about teachers. Honestly, sort of bullshit, but anyways, enjoy the post!
Like said before, I got a 3-day suspension for making memes about teachers. It all started on a forum of mine, where I posted a super stretched image of Coach Wehunt's face, which then started the Wehunt memes. It was a harmless joke, and even Wehunt didn't have an issue with it. He was sort of chill about the whole situation. Then yesterday, I was called to Coach Brown's office, and I already had a feeling it was for the memes. This same thing happened back in 7th grade when I posted a photoshop of Mr. Phillips, only that time I was suspended for a week. He told me that we couldn't make teacher memes on school grounds and suspended me. The pictures are available online for everyone to see, and I mentioned that to Coach Brown, but he didn't want it to evolve into cyberbullying. The only reason I got in trouble was because another teacher saw me making the memes and reported me. I still think it's a bit bullshit to have suspended me, but suspension is actually a W. It's pretty chill, and of course, I got in trouble by my parents, but nothing super serious. Memes will still be made about the school (probably not teachers), and I will post mine on Instagram @redbankhighmemes, but this suspension has sort of just killed a lot of meme potential. RBHS is always censoring stuff. First, they always try to shut down my blog (rbmshate and rbmsblog are blocked on chromebook), then they shut down my candy business, and now they are censoring memes. They can't just let students have fun... and that's why this school sucks. Thanks for reading this week's post! I know, you probably have heard this information before, this post just went a bit more in depth. Enjoy your weekend! Happy Friday! With all the Wehunt memes floating around, I figured why not make a post on one of his classes. Enjoy!
Personal Finance is one of those classes that is actually useful in your life, but insanely boring. It's so boring, I'd rather punch a brick wall until my hand broke than do the work. I want to first talk about how the rules are so strict, that the number one rule is to not get out of your desk for any reason. WHY DID HE THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA??? With Wehunt, it's either a boring dochub assignment, or a 3 page essay. There is no in-between. The assignments literally make me want to drink cyanide. They're that bad. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Also, let's not forget how dochub is one of the most shitty and buggy programs I've ever used in my life. It's inferior in every way to almost every other program. It's not like you can't use Google Docs to complete these assignments, it'll work just fine, but the teacher insists on using this shit program. Just recently, I was assigned a 5 page dochub assignment and LITERALLY HAVE THE LINKS ARE BROKEN, LEADING TO ERROR PAGES. The teacher will assign work, and then just sit there and say, "Search the website for the answers" when the website is insanely confusing. Like searching for a needle in a haystack. Honestly, if they really wanted us to grow up with good financial habits, then actually give us fun work, not work that makes every student want to kill themselves. Thanks for reading this week's post! We have a 3 day weekend because of Presidents Day! Bye! Thanks for checking out this week's post. I know, a Spanish post was supposed to be coming, but I feel like this is better because a lot has happened recently, and I want to discuss it! Enjoy the post!
So, to all my new readers, "RBHS Rants" is a series where I basically rant about RBHS and talk about events that happened. I first want to talk about benchmarks. I just had the English and Geometry ones, and you won't believe how I feel about them. They fucking suck. The English one was complicated, and the reading texts were shit as usual, and the geometry one was also shit, but I hated the English one more, just because it's a worse class. Overall, the benchmarks made my life a living hell and make me want to tear out my kidneys, but I made it through. Also, recently, I had ISS again for another stupid reason. I gave my friend the idea to call 911 on the classroom phone. I only got ISS (2 days) because the entire class was interviewed, and people said it was me and my friend. I got lucky though, because he got suspended for 2 days. I must say though, ISS is still pretty chill. It's a pretty enjoyable experience because you can just do whatever. The teachers a chill guy, probably my favorite teacher, although I think he had surgery last week or something so he's not there right now. Also, I want to talk about the blog. It's changed a lot in the past few weeks, mainly because of the layout change. It's mainly noticeable on the home page, but it was a long overdue change. That old layout was shitty, especially on mobile. Last thing I want to talk about is how the RBHS Instagram pages fell off. They never really post anything anymore. It's almost as if it gets boring and repetitive to post pictures of people sleeping over and over. Not bashing the sleeping page, but none of the Instagram accounts are really posting anymore, except for RBHS Shitposting. I've been posting since 7th grade (Technically late 6th grade), and I'm not stopping until I graduate. I know that was a long post, much longer than my usual posts, but it's been forever since the last RBHS Rants. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your weekend, before it's ended by the torture chamber that is school. Bye! Thanks for checking back in with the blog! I ran a poll on my Instagram between IXL and Spanish, and obviously, IXL won the vote. Technically I made a "Why IXL Sucks" before, but it's outdated. Anyways, enjoy the post!
IXL is the worst math program I've ever used. That is not an understatement. I mean it. First of all, IXL punishes you for getting a question wrong. IXL SHOULD BE A PRACTICE TOOL. Also, when you do get a question wrong, it gives you helpful advice, right? Wrong. The advice it gives is absolute dogshit. Not to mention that the questions are usually worded in some weird way or the fact that they overcomplicate things a lot of the time. DeltaMath is bad, I know, but it's a lot more forgiving than this. DeltaMath has a whole fucking video to help you, and guess what? The advice it gives is actually helpful, unlike IXL. My 2nd block teacher assigns 2 IXL's each day, and they're due Tuesday. I HAD 14 FUCKING IXL's IN THE SPAN OF A WEEK AND A HALF. Not to mention the fact that they add on DeltaMath's and normal classwork, so you basically have no other choice but to do it as homework. I honestly don't understand why teachers think it's a good idea to assign mandatory IXL's. If anything, they should be optional. It's like the teachers are too lazy to help you anymore so they just let a fucking computer do it for them. If we learned the material from the teacher, then why do we need to do IXL's? It's as if the teacher isn't confident enough in their own teaching skills. Also let's just cover the fact that IXL costs money. HCDE HAD TO PAY FOR EVERY STUDENTS ACCOUNT. Imagine actually paying money for this worthless shitty program. Just sad, really. Thanks for reading this week's post. You may have noticed this post is labeled "2022 Edition" and that's because in 2020, I made a "Why IXL Sucks" post, and it's a bit outdated now. It still has some great points, so I'd appreciate it if you also checked that post out as well. Anyways, have a great weekend! Bye! Happy Friday everyone! As you can see by the title, "Why Geometry Sucks" won the vote on the last blog post! Enjoy the post! Probably next week's post will be about Spanish.
So, Geometry. Where do I even begin? First of all, the entire concept of geometry is unrealistic and pointless. I guarantee nobody uses geometry after High School or College. Geometry class takes all the worst elements from Algebra and combines them, creating one of the worst classes you'll ever have. It's not even that the class (at least with my teacher) is even that difficult because they give you most of the answers. It's the fact that the class is generally a living hell and every second I spend in that class makes me want to ingest 538 pounds of iron powder. Math has always had the potential to be a decent class, as long as you have a good teacher, but this rule doesn't apply to geometry. No matter how good you are, and no matter how much you like math, this class will always suck. Algebra sucked, but now we're adding SHAPES? WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO ADD SHAPES TO MATH!? Weren't variables enough? This class isn't as bad as English, but it's close. It's just unnecessary because you'd think Algebra would be enough, but I guess the fucking idiots running our school systems never thought of that. Also, benchmarks are coming up, which I guarantee will suck, but I'll make a separate post talking about all of the benchmarks and my thoughts. Thanks for reading this week's post! Next week will probably be focused on Spanish class or the benchmarks, but I don't know yet. (Also check out my friends shitposting blog about the school.) Happy Friday! I know the post is late, but only because I had to go buy a new phone. Anyways, enjoy the post, I got a lot to say about this class. Make sure to vote the next blog post with the poll below! English has always been one of my least favorite classes. From the terrible book reports to the useless worksheets, everything about this class can be defined in one word: Hell. Every single second of this class makes me want to smash my head into the nearest brick wall. And it may seem like I enjoy English class based on the fact that I sit down and take time out of my Fridays to write multiple paragraphs for a blog post, but in reality, I hate everything about English class. Where do I even start? I guess we could start with the fact that the assignments are terrible and useless. Alright, English isn't the most useless class, but WHY DO WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT FUCKING CONCRETE NOUNS ARE? I know I make this argument a lot, but seriously! We will never need to know what concrete nouns are! I already forgot what they are. Oh, that's another thing. The class is incredibly forgettable, meaning everything you "learned" is completely useless because you'll just forget it all, just like every other class. Also, the benchmarks are coming up, which have always sucked for English Class. Wow, I really love reading THE SAME FUCKING TEXTS WITH SHITTY PLOT. Like, there's one on my benchmark about knights and it fucking sucks. I hate that text with a passion. I'm not gonna skip over the fact that English 2 gives out too much work. I was sick Monday and Tuesday, and when I get back, I have A WHOLE FUCKING WORKSHEET WITH LIKE 25 QUESTIONS AND 3 ARTICLES. And today, we watched some weird video about stereotyping, even though that had nothing to do with English class at all. I ain't complaining though, it was pretty easy work. In conclusion, this class will always be stupid and pointless. Thanks for reading this week's post! I have a feeling there will be a part 2 to this later on, because the class just started, so who knows what else this class has in store. Anyways, make sure to vote for the next blog post! It's between Spanish and Geometry. Bye! Enjoy your long weekend! (btw this post does focus on honors english 2, but that makes the class even worse) |
